Our Mission

Our Mission

Reloop promotes sustainability by facilitating the rehoming of unwanted items, reducing waste and extending the lifecycle of everyday products.

The Environmental Impact of Consumer Waste

Every year, millions of tons of usable items end up in landfills, contributing to:

  • Increased greenhouse gas emissions
  • Deforestation and resource depletion
  • Chemical pollution from treated materials
  • Wasted resources that could be reused

By extending the lifecycle of everyday items through reuse, we can significantly reduce these environmental impacts and move toward a more sustainable future.

Privacy Shield Technology

At Reloop, we understand that sharing your location can be a concern when rehoming items. That's why we've developed our Privacy Shield feature to give you complete control over your personal information:

Adjustable Privacy Levels

Choose how much location information to share with each listing:

  • City Only: Highest privacy protection
  • Neighborhood Only: Balanced approach
  • Full Address: Maximum convenience
Controlled Access

Your exact location is only revealed to users who schedule a pickup, and you can revoke access at any time by canceling the pickup.

This approach ensures your safety while still making the rehoming process efficient and effective.

Your Safety Matters

Privacy Shield is just one of the ways we prioritize your security and peace of mind.

Contributing to the Circular Economy

The circular economy is an economic system aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources. Reloop contributes to this model by:

  • Extending product lifecycles through reuse
  • Keeping materials in circulation longer
  • Reducing the need for new resource extraction
  • Creating a community-based sharing economy

By participating in Reloop, you're helping to create a more sustainable and circular approach to consumption.

Circular Economy

Where It All Started

At Reloop, we connect furniture and item donors with recipients, giving unwanted pieces a second life instead of sending them to the landfill.

It all started with Stooping Westchester, an Instagram account dedicated to showcasing curbside treasures. We loved helping people find and rescue great furniture, but we kept asking ourselves—why should the curb be the last line of defense? There had to be a way to intercept these items before they even hit the street.

That's why we created Reloop—a platform designed to make furniture rehoming easier, more organized, and accessible beyond neighborhood boundaries. Inspired by the incredible spirit of giveaway groups, we wanted to build something that makes rehoming effortless for everyone. With Reloop, you can browse available furniture on an interactive map, making the process seamless, sustainable, and efficient.

This idea came to life thanks to the support of those who believed in it. For now, Reloop is a website, but we're actively working on launching an app to make it even more accessible.
